Interim Psychologist

Dr. Rachael Goldmann serves as the lead provider for counseling and psychoeducational services with Thin Line Psychological Services.  She is a Marine Corps Veteran and trained as a Combat Photographer. She honorably discharged in 2007 after repetitive injuries from training to deploy in support of the ongoing wars at that time left her unable to deploy. After her discharge, she dedicated her professional and personal life to serving those who serve. Dr. Goldmann is working under Dr. Childs’s supervision currently as postdoctoral fellow and holds her Professional Counselor as well as Temporary Psychologist licenses.

Dr. Goldmann has extensive experience working with first responders (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, Corrections, Fish and Wildlife, Dispatch), veterans, and active duty military; she has also worked with spouses, children, and couples. She specializes in treating and educating about Moral Injury, trauma/PTSD, and the complex issues that can manifest from serving as a first responder/current or prior military.  She attained her first Master’s degree in Marriage and Family from Edgewood College (2014) and then attended the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology, earning a second Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (2018) as well as her Doctorate in Psychology (2023).

Dr. Goldmann was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family (her partner is a Correctional Officer for the State of Wisconsin), avidly watching and supporting Wisconsin sports teams (when her daughter allows her to), cooking and baking, as well as trying new restaurants.
